UBC Student Selected as BC’s Top University Co-op Student

Brandon Huntington, Biology Co-op student at UBC, has been awarded the 2018 Co-op Student of the Year by the Association for Co-operative Education - Work Integrated Learning BC/Yukon.

During co-op terms with Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, UBC Michael Smith Laboratories, and King Abdulla Aziz University of Science & Technology in Saudi Arabia, Brandon completed high profile projects and earned glowing praise from his employers. His two published papers were also presented during a conference at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Germany.

These co-op terms allowed Brandon to gain experience in a broad range of subjects including Agriculture, Neuroscience and Biophysics.

For his outstanding achievements, Brandon was also awarded UBC Science Co-op Student of the Year in 2018.
